Furry Popins Adventure Walking Service
Our Adventure Walks
At Furry Popins, we specialise in providing Adventure Walks that are truly enriching for your dog! These outings are, on average 4-6 hours long and we travel to a variety of exciting locations that are private, secure and enclosed, keeping your dogs safety paramount. No boring flat, repetitive fields here - we travel far and wide to find locations that are hand picked to truly stimulate your pet mentally and physically - including woodlands, lakes, enclosed trails, sensory gardens and more!
Safety and Transport
All dogs in the group are assessed for suitability, and we never face the danger of coming across unknown dogs. Transport is in a safe and fully insured crated van, and the pups get enrichment in their crates (such as natural chews, lick-e-mats and food puzzles) to keep them occupied on the journey. We are also have full business insurance, First Aid & CPR Training, DBS Checks and hold a Level 2 Qualification in Canine Care and Welfare, ensuring your precious pup is in qualified and caring hands.
Post-Walk Grooming
At the end of our outing, the dogs are washed and towel dried when needed after walks to make sure they are dropped back home free of mud, happy, content and tired out! You can even upgrade to a full shampoo and blow dry for the full VIP service for your pooch! We have a portable shower in the van, as well as a fully set up home washing station, electric grooming table and a high velocity dryer. Dogs are always introduced to these at their own pace with positive reinforcement for co-operative grooming.
Individualised Pupdates and management through our own App
After each adventure you will receive a ‘pupdate’ including details on where we went and what we got up to, and plenty of photos of so you can see all the fun they had! We also use a secure industry platform where your pet will have it’s own private record so we can take the best care of them. Payments are taken automatically for each walk booked so you never have to worry about remembering to pay on time! You can also request additional walks or changes to booked walks online, saving you time and stress.
About Furry Popins
My name is Amy-Beth and I’m the owner of Furry Popins, which I’ve proudly run for 3 years. Before this, I spent my 20s -30s as a healthcare professional and manager in the NHS. After the pandemic, I chose to follow my dream of working with animals and created Furry Popins. Over the years I’ve gained a wealth of experience managing group dog dynamics safely. I am a huge proponent of positive reinforcement and force-free handling, so you can trust that your pet will always be treated with kindness and care.

What Our Clients Say
We have been working with Furry Popins (Amy) for a couple of months and we can not fault her. She is professional, capable, great with communication and not to mention our dogs love her! I don’t have any concerns when she has them as I know she is extremely good at what she does and genuinely cares for all the dogs she has. I would recommend Amy with no hesitation plus the emails with the updates of their walk makes my day when stuck in the office!

Amy-Beth had been taking my dog Walter for a walk a couple of times a week after my recovery from surgery. She was very kind and thoughtful at every opportunity and always goes the extra mile. Walter loved his time with Amy-Beth, had lots of fun and learned new things too.

I cannot recommend Amy-Beth highly enough! We were so lucky to find her for our dog Draco. Amy-Beth isn't just a dog walker, she genuinely loves all of the dogs she looks after. She takes my dog to a range of different places for his walks, ensuring he is mentally stimulated. Not only does she 'walk' the dogs, she works on recall with them and works on any behavioural issues they may have. We get a full update about each walk with lots of pictures so that we know how much fun Draco has had on his walk.
Natalie and Draco
Amy-Beth is fantastic absolutely wonderful with our dog who absolutely adores her. We receive lots of updates, photos and videos of his adventures, which always show how happy he is. Amy-Beth takes him to lots of different places; he is never bored and it always looks like he’s having so much fun. She incorporates training elements too, e.g. working with our dog on his recall. He is very well looked after with lots of love, exercise and treats. I can’t recommend Amy-Beth enough!

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if Adventure Walks are suitable for my dog?
Dogs must be fully grown and post adolescents for our adventure walks. For most dogs this is between 1-2 years of age. This is because our adventure walks involve a lot of exercise (including swimming) and are very stimulating, which younger dogs can struggle to cope with, and could be damaging to young joints. Dogs must also be sociable with compatible dog, comfortable travelling and able to settle in a crate, physically capable for longer outings and fully vaccinated and on regular parasite preventatives.
How do you ensure the safety of my pet during walks?
We prioritise safety by conducting thorough assessments of each pet before integrating into groups. All our Adventure Walks take place is secure, private, enclosed locations which both reduces the chance of your dog getting lost, and also irradicates interacting with unknown dogs. We are also fully CPR and pet first aid trained, and dogs are transported in their own individual professionally fitted crates in our dog walking van. Coming Soon... Brand New Electric Van with Fully Crash Tested Crates!
What credentials do you hold?
I am OFQUAL Level 2 Qualified in Canine Care and Welfare. Fully Insured with Business Insurance, Van Insurance and Public Liability Insurance. DBS Checked. Having run Furry Popins for the past several years, I have a wealth of experiencing in working with and handling a wide range of animals, and I am passionately force/fear free and positive reinforcement based.
How can I book your services?
Please message us to discuss your requirements. Once you decide to proceed, you are set up on our online booking platform which is also where you'll get 'pupdates' after each walk to let you know what they’ve been up to and photos of our adventures! We then arrange a free Meet & Greet at your home for me to get to know you and your Dog. A Solo walk for one to one assessment and bond building is then completed, and all being well we move onto the Adventure Walks after that!
