I've been passionate about animals from a very young age, getting my first cat at 7 years old, and then (after a long campaign to my parents!) my first Dog - Sasha, an Akita Inu, at 14 years Old. I've been passionate about animals from a very young age, getting my first cat at 7 years old, and then (after a long campaign to my parents!) my first Dog - Sasha, an Akita Inu, at 14 years Old. It was with Sasha that I discovered my love of working with dogs, and we competed in Dog Showing, Advanced Level Obedience, and even tried our hand at Agility and Flyball! As a teenager I gained my first job as a Kennel and Cattery Assistant, later moving onto Pet Sitting. Then, having trained & worked in the NHS for nearly 20 years, the majority of which was visiting patients in the community, I am well used to visiting people's homes and treating them with respect, as well as handling emergency situations with a level head. Post Pandemic Burnout lead me to a career change following the dream that kept coming back of working with Animals, and Furry Popins was born in May 2023.

Based in Heswall and covering the surrounding areas (Lower Heswall, Gayton, Parkgate, Neston, Little Neston, Pensby, Thingwall, Irby, Thurstaston, Frankby, Barnston, Thornoton Hough, Caldy, West Kirkby, Greasby, Storeton & Willaston) providing both Dog Walking & Pet Sitting Services.

With over 25 years of experience with animals, I have gained a wealth of knowledge and expertise in caring for pets of all shapes and sizes. I am Qualified in Level 2 OFQUAL Canine Care & Behaviour, DBS Checked, Fully Insured and Pet First Aid & CPR Trained. I am also passionate about Force/Fear Free and Positive Reinforcement Training.
